The first and most obvious reason is that their small size and light weight allow them to be run with even the smallest tractors. Beyond that, these machines allow you to bale in tighter spaces and on steep slopes. And the round bale is much more weather resistant than the square bale, meaning a surprise rain shower won’t ruin your hay in the field. Adding net wrap gives you even better weather resistance, and also reduces losses from handling.

Abbriata balers have features not available from Asian-made brands. Abbriata offers this towed model, which means you can make hay with even the shortest tractors. Gathering wheels are a standard feature, widening the pickup width by another 15 inches. This allows you to make larger windrows, increasing efficiency while leaving less missed hay in the field or pine straw in the stand. Other options not available elsewhere include an adjustable pickup guide wheel and an automatic bale counter.

The central drawbar allows you to bale without the hassle of hooking up to the tractor’s 3 point hitch. Just connect to your drawbar and go. This is also helpful on small tractors that may not be able to lift the weight of the machine on the 3 point hitch.
