Freight Shipping
T’is the holiday season, and everyone loves the surprise of holiday packages delivered to their doors. However, at Tractor Tools Direct, we work to take the surprise out of the packages we deliver to you during any season. We know you are busy running your small farm and have no time for surprises. So we make every effort to ensure that when you make a purchase from us, you know exactly what you’re getting, when you’ll get it, and how it will arrive.
Our exceptional service begins with your first click or phone call. Whether you place an order online or by phone, you will receive a confirmation email within a few hours of your purchase. This email will itemize your order and ask you to verify your shipping address. Please be sure to notify us right away if you see an error. Within a few minutes of your item being loaded and shipped, you will receive a second email with shipping details including information about the freight carrier and the tracking number.
Most implements will be palletized for shipment. This allows for easier loading and unloading especially when using a forklift. For more efficient shipping, some of our implements will arrive partially or completely disassembled. This is especially true for our larger implements like TX31 balers, wheel rakes, and hay mowers. Any implements for which this is necessary will have a photo on their product pages showing how they will look upon arrival. Most pallets will also be shrink wrapped to protect your implement from damage during shipping. Assembly manuals will be shippedwith these products or can be found on our website under the “Information” tab on our homepage.
From that point on it is in the capable hands of the carrier, and the wait depends on your distance from our warehouse. We’re in Terre Haute, Indiana. Being smack-dab in the middle of the U.S. helps to keep the wait times down for those of you in New England and on the West Coast. If you’re really close to us, it might arrive in a day or two. Freight shipments typically take 3-7 business days.We do the best we can to get an order out the door within 24 hours of purchase (excluding weekends). We can often book it to go out the same day if the order is submitted in the morning.
Our shippers deliver straight to your door. Unless you live in a remote area inaccessible by a freight truck, the freight company will drive your purchase to your location. The truck will have a platform that extends out from the back of the trailer, and the driver will bring the crate out to the platform and lower it to the ground. He or she will work with you to figure out the best place to unload it.
For more information on our product packing and shipping methods and to ensure you do not end up with any surprises besides those the holidays will bring, be sure to check out the shipping page on our website or give us a call at 1-260-BALE-HAY. Happy Holidays!
