Description
Ibex belt rakes offer better raking quality in a simple, durable machine. Their compact, low profile design means you can rake in places that used to be considered too confined for conventional tractor-driven rakes. Since they are designed to work directly behind the tractor and are sized at a nominal width of 5 to 6 ½ feet, if your tractor will fit, so will your rake.
It is the only rake that easily converts to a tedder to spread hay – in less than 30 seconds and without tools. Furthermore, with its compact size, an Ibex rake fits perfectly between 10’-12’ tree spacing in pine plantations.
Any size tractor with a PTO and 3-point hitch can operate Ibex rakes. They require very little power and are lightweight enough to be easily lifted by even the smallest compact and subcompact tractors. Their light weight also makes them safer to operate on steep slopes.
The design of the Ibex rake is simple, meaning it is easy to use, trouble free, and very low-maintenance. There is no gearbox, and all bearings are easily greased for long life. Tubular steel construction is strong and durable. Because it is lighter weight and closer to the tractor than other rake designs, it is also safer to use with small tractors and on sloping ground.
Its light weight and compactness make it easy to disconnect, move, and store when not in use. The solid wheel for parking the machine even allows you to roll the rake by hand, meaning it can be moved to a corner of the barn out of the way of other operations.
Using the rake is also easy, even for beginners. Connection is a breeze, and once connected, raking height is quickly changed with the adjusting levers on the pneumatic wheels. The width of the windrow is adjustable, so it’s easy to match your windrow size to your baler. If you need to spread your hay, switching operations is as simple as removing the hay stop.
Adjustable raking height means you never end up with dirt in your windrow, meaning better quality hay for your animals and cleaner straw for your pine bales. And the raking action creates a windrow that is light and fluffy, never roped like some other designs. That means final drying of hay can happen in the windrow, allowing you to bale sooner.
Tractor Tools Direct is proud to be partnering with Da Ros Green of Italy to bring you this high quality, affordable machine. Da Ros has been a trusted name in hay equipment manufacturing since the 1950s.

FAQ
Do I need a tedder or does this work as a tedder and rake?
This belt rake is a two-in-one implement. It serves as a rake and with a quick adjustment to the rear wheels and to the hay stop, it turns into a dedicated tedder. Although the action is not as thorough as a standalone tedder, it fluffs the hay significantly and reduces drying times while avoiding the need to purchase a second implement for tedding. You will no longer need to switch between a rake and tedder on your tractor and less room required for storage in the barn.
I have a mini round baler. Should I get the TX80 or the TS100 belt rake?
The TX80 belt rake is the best fit if you have a mini round baler. It makes an appropriately sized windrow. The TS100 can be used with a mini round baler, but it is often difficult to create the right size of windrow unless you have a very light cutting.
Does the rake come assembled?
This item comes partially disassembled so it can be safely shipped nationwide. Assembly is required upon receipt. The tines must be installed, the windrow stop must be attached, and the wheels need to be installed. Instructions are provided. Once you do this and grease all of the grease fittings, you’re off and running!
How much maintenance is required?
Preventative maintenance is important to perform on any agricultural machine to ensure its longevity. Simple greasing and checking that any belts or other moving components aren’t loose or showing signs of wear or damage will dramatically help lengthen the life of any implement. These machines will last a lifetime with proper use and maintenance.
How does the warranty work?
All Ibex implements come with a two year defective parts replacement warranty. You can find full warranty details here.
Do you have parts on hand if needed?
We stock a wide variety of parts right here in our Indiana warehouse! Some of our parts are available for purchase directly on our website and you can always give us a call for assistance. We are happy to help get you what you need quickly. We offer expedited shipping as well, for those times you need a part as soon as possible.
Is it chain or belt driven?
This rake is belt-driven. Your tractor’s PTO turns a PTO shaft, which in turn rotates a series of belts that power the machine.
Does it have an overload protection system?
The belt drive system on this rake serves as a protection mechanism for this rake. The primary drive belt will slip in the case of an overload to protect other components.
How does it help dry the hay?
Belt rakes make fluffy windrows with plenty of space for air and sun to penetrate in and quickly dry the crop. They also do a great job of spreading the hay and exposing trapped moisture when used in tedder mode.
Is it better than a wheel rake?
This belt rake is a step above a wheel rake in a few key ways. First, it’s a tedder and rake all in one implement. It can spread the hay and then rake it without having to switch implements on the tractor. Wheel rakes can turn a windrow over, but they cannot fluff it up. Second, a belt rake can also be backed into those pesky corners and tight areas where a wheel rake has trouble getting into. Third, since the belt rake’s tines don’t have direct contact with the ground, they also make for a cleaner hay.
How does it ship?
These implements ship via LTL freight with liftgate service. They come secured on a custom built wooden pallet and will be lowered to the ground for you at your location.
